Attention & Focus Training - Audio CD

by Carol Joy Cole, LCSW, MSWAC, BCD                              Bio

Specifically designed for children and challenged young adults with attention and concentration difficulties and the accompanying anxiety. If used on a regular basis can potentially redirect the attention span and decrease impulsiveness, increasing sense of competency and productivity.

Product ID: APCD    Price: $14.95

The listener/participant will be guided through easy to follow, specific techniques to understand how they can consciously take charge and re-direct their actions and thoughts; applicable to academic, vocational and social functioning.

Attention and Focus Training CD is best used for optimal results every night at bedtime. When the child is in bed for the evening and does not need to get up again put on the CD. Best if bedtime is consistent, so the routine can clearly be established and become rote. Use every night for 30 days (as it takes 30 days to change a habit). This is particularly important with children with attention problems, as the messages to the right frontal brain, concentration and impulse centers respond most fully to repetition, until the input becomes a rote memory. However, the child may continue to use the CD thereafter, as a continued part of their evening routine, or at any other time.
Additionally, the CD will offer restful sleep patterns while teaching the child how to fully relax biologically and emotionally.
This CD can be further used prior to a test or other new and associated stressful circumstances. Please note: the echo sound throughout the CD is intentional, as it can be helpful in enhancing attention span.emotionally and be able to avoid escalation of otherwise negative and paralyzing symptoms.
